Company: The Nebraska Pharmacists Association (NPA) aims advance the profession of pharmacy by providing member services to pharmacy practitioners throughout the state. The NPA represents over 1,400 members.
Project: Social Media and Video
Challenge: NPA came to Turbine wanting to increase their member numbers. NPA had many members already, but wanted to support pharmacists throughout the state. They also wanted a way to keep in touch with members and share fun and professional updates.
Recommendation: We recommended that NPA implement a social media strategy that focused on Facebook and Twitter. This was so NPA could show their professional side on Twitter, and a more fun, personal side on Facebook.
Result: Turbine helped NPA implement a social media strategy that focused on Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube. This strategy included how to post, what kind of content to post, and how it would benefit the association. Before working with Turbine, NPA had a little over 200 fans on Facebook. Now, they are close to 900 likes. The Twitter page started with 61 followers and now has over 400. Three company overview videos were made for the NPA YouTube channel. They were to be placed on the website and on social media.

Turbine helped NPA implement their Facebook strategy, which was to be used to build a community among the association’s members. NPA uses Facebook to tell the stories of their members and to share health information. We helped NPA’s Facebook following grow by over 400%.
The goal of NPA’s Twitter was so share important legislative updates that would affect their members. By tweeting news and relevant information one or more times a day, NPA could become a trusted source for the latest pharmacy news. Turbine helped increase the Twitter following by over 600%.
